?ÇÿThe Red Maple?ÇÖ by Mike Grandmaison Worthington, Ontario. Canada One of my favorite trees to photograph in autumn is the red maple. The foliage changes from green to yellow, orange but mostly red. I particularly enjoy photographing it as a single individual when it becomes the focal point of the composition. On this glorious, still morning, I captured this young red maple in autumn splendor reflecting in St. Poithier Lake as the fog slowly lifted and as the distant hillside became lit by the warm light of the rising sun. The image graces the cover of my book ?ÇÿMike Grandmaison?ÇÖs Ontario?ÇÖ.
