Two versions of the sun by American artist Alexander Calder (1898 - 1976). Suns and planets are common themes in Calder's artworks working primarily in yellow, red, blue and black. Calder's artworks including his well known mobiles have a timeless geometric style. Calder once said, "The underlying sense of form in my work has been the system of the Universe, or part thereof. For that is a rather large model to work from." This lithograph print is unsigned but signed within the printing from 1968 was published by the Collector's Guild in New York City.
